Considering these disconcerting statistics; 30 million plastic water bottles are used each day in the Europe alone, approximately 1500 bottles end up in landfills and the ocean every second and it takes 3-5 litres of water to make 1 plastic bottle. It looks like Andrea Ponti’s design “Life”, a sustainable paper-made water container, has come just in the knickers of time.
Created by Italian born, young freelance
superhero designer Andrea Ponti for the Milano Expo 2015, “Life” is a product designed to dissuade people from using plastic bottles with a one-day-use bottle easy to be recharged and recycled again. This bottle is held together by a single stitch and made from recycled paper without harsh chemicals, and… it has zero effects on the earth when thrown away.
Paper water bottle by 2015? Mr Ponti, we salute you.
